USA Visit
This past month and a half in the States has been great! God continues to bless us and use us to bless others. God has been surprising us in ways we hadn’t expected and has taken care of all the details without us even asking Him! It has been wonderful for Maria to get to know and spend time with family, relatives, new nephew, and friends. We are thankful for Maria’s opportunity to see snow for the first time as well as experience many other new things. We also had a wedding reception from my parents to celebrate our wedding with family and friends. We got to share our story/testimony and were very blessed by all who came!
We had a Holy Spirit Night on December 9 at the church. A snowstorm hit that day, leaving many people who wanted to come at home. However, around 20 people ventured out and were touched by God’s presence and received from Him. We trust in His continued work at Maranatha Church. We were also part of a kids’ night at the church where we got to hang out with the kids and play games. We also led a kids’ Christmas party one night. We also were able to share about our ministry during a service at Maranatha and at another local church during a breakfast fellowship.
Future Plans
We have been enjoying this time to rest and prepare for our return to Santa Marta on January 23. We still plan on continuing our ministry in Barrio 17 and working in some schools. We just keep walking by faith and seeing God backing us up. We are asking God to continue to open the doors and show us the way as we return to Colombia. We aren’t sure what the future holds, but we know God has great plans for us. The kids of Santa Marta need love and prayers. Our goal is to raise up an army of “little” warriors for Christ. The best is yet to come!
“Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything with prayer and petition, make your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7
